Fordham production of Caberet

Vital Voices is now in its tenth year of residency at Fordham High School for the Arts. Vital Teaching Artists Leah McVeigh, Harold Lewter, Margo Boyd, Jon Stancato, Jen Varbalow, and Mariela Novoa work with Drama Teacher Marlene May, Visual Arts Teacher Lisa Mota, Dance Teacher Bethamy White, Instrumental Teacher Janet Grice and Vocal Music Teacher Kurt Kelley to facilitate residencies in acting, commedia dell'arte, choreography, producing, playwriting and technical theatre.

Throughout the year, teaching artists work with FHSA students in a variety of ways including community building workshops with the 9th grade, and production of the annual spring musical, which draws on the talents of students from all five arts disciplines - Drama, Dance, Vocal, Instrumental, and Visual Arts.

Fordham's Black Box theatre has recently completed Phase 1 of development, providing opportunities for FHSA students to explore stage management and design through Arts & Technical Learning.
